Biography:

Mr. Khazali is a Consultant Gynaecologist with special interests in pelvic pain, endometriosis, advanced laparoscopic and hysteroscopic surgery and menstrual disorders. He is also an Honorary Senior Lecturer at the Royal Holloway – University of London.
Mr. Khazali is a co-founder and co-director of CEMIG (Centre for Endometriosis and Minimally Invasive Gynaecology) at Ashford and St Peter’s Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, where his NHS appointment is. CEMIG is one of the top 5 busiest accredited centres in the UK for treatment of severe endometriosis.
Mr. Khazali was trained in London, Cambridge, Oxford, Poole, Winchester and Southampton. He then gained further experience by visiting centers of excellence in France, Switzerland, Italy, Australia and Canada.
He holds a Masters degree in Advanced Gynaecological Endoscopy from the University of Surrey, where he later became a faculty member and an honorary senior fellow.
Mr Khazali treats most benign gynaecological conditions but he has a keen interest in looking after women with pelvic pain, endometriosis and fibroids and those with heavy or irregular periods.
He has led a number of innovative projects, including a new classification system for endometriosis as well as an online pain diary for chronic pelvic pain patients.
Mr. Khazali is an elected senior council member for the British Society of Gynaecological Endoscopy (BSGE) and has been heavily involved in the BSGE work nationally since 2008.
Mr. Khazali’s international contributions include numerous invited speeches, live surgery and presentations at international congresses around the world as well as travelling abroad to teach advanced endometriosis surgery to other gynaecologists. He has published in various journals and contributed to a number of book chapters in the field.
Mr. Khazali has received excellent patient reviews, particularly commenting on his listening skills and kind and considerate manners. He is a firm believer in patient-centred, evidence-based care.
He is married to Tina, a GP and together they have two children, Nickan and Dana.
