The completely refurbished 13 bedded Paediatric and 6 bedded Adult Intensive Care Units (ITU) are now open.
The new Paediatric Unit of course has the latest technology, and is now in the most beautiful and modern surroundings. It may be new but it has retained the dedicated and experienced multi-disciplinary team of paediatric consultants and staff – nursing, resident medical officers, intensivists, pharmacists, dieticians, speech and language therapists, physiotherapists, the infection control team and translators.
The Unit treats babies and children of all ages who have congenital heart, cancer and neurological problems. It is the largest such private facility in the country.
At the same time, Adults who need intensive care will now be treated in the adjacent modern 6 bedded unit or the 3 bedded unit close to theatres.
With 22 ITU beds in total and a further 10 step-down High Dependency beds, The Harley Street Clinic remains at the forefront of private intensive care treatment for both Paediatrics and Adults, not only in London but in the UK as a whole.
