Working with world renowned consultant haematologists and a highly specialised supporting medical team
We provide our patients with continuity and continuously high standards of care, from diagnosis through treatment and onto after care for both cancerous and non-cancerous haematological conditions. There are many different conditions within Haematology covered by The Harley Street Clinic. Treatment for these conditions varies depending on the type and stage of the disease. Each patient’s treatment plan will be tailored to their own medical needs.
Diagnosis is key to the successful treatment of haematological conditions. We offer an extensive range of diagnostics at our specialised Diagnostic Centre with state-of-the-art facilities. The range of diagnostic services includes:
- A full range of routine, reference and specialist testing across all major disciplines: biochemistry, haematology and blood transfusion, microbiology and cellular pathology.
- Molecular Imaging
- Dexa Scanning
- PET / CT Scan
If you would like to make an enquiry please use the contact form at the bottom of this page, or for more information please go to our diagnostics and outpatients website.
Beyond our work in cancer and cardiology, we also provide a full range of surgical services, from plastic surgery and gynaecology, to ENT procedures and orthopaedic treatments.
The Harley Street Clinic has dedicated facilities for outpatient chemotherapy and associated treatments.
Radiotherapy involves the treatment of cancer with radiation. The radiation used is similar to that used to take an X-ray picture but is more penetrating.
We believe personalised medicine – with medical decisions and practices being tailored to the individual patient – is the way forward for drug development.
Our Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT)
Treatment planning is overseen by a multidisciplinary team (MDT) of experts to ensure that the very best set of options are given to the patient.
Patients are cared for by highly trained specialist nurses as well as a full network of supportive care professionals including a dedicated physiotherapist and dietician, complementary therapists, psychologists and counsellors, pain and palliative care specialists, as well as fertility preservation facilities and access to UCLH’s intensive care unit.
The whole pathway, from pre -diagnosis, through until treatment and survival, is supported by an experienced Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) who works closely with the MDT.
Our Multi-Disciplinary Teams (MDT) of specialists meet on a regular basis to discuss and carefully review individual cases and second opinions referred to them from all over the world. Having considered all the evidence, they independently provide the most appropriate treatment plan followed by a written report for each patient.
