Biography:

Tom Newsom-Davis is a consultant in medical oncology at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, London, where he specialises in thoracic malignancies.
Dr Newsom-Davis trained at University College and Middlesex School of Medicine, and graduated in anatomy and medicine in 1998. He subsequently specialised in medical oncology at Charing Cross and Hammersmith Hospitals. During this time he completed a PhD in tumour immunology, funded by Cancer Research UK, and went on to become a Clinical Lecturer in medical oncology at Imperial College London, supported by the Wellcome Trust and Academy of Medical Sciences.
Dr Newsom-Davis has an active clinical trials portfolio, and is a member of the National Cancer Research Institutes lung cancer clinical study group and the British Thoracic Oncology Group steering committee. He leads lung cancer for the RM Partners Cancer Vanguard, which represents 3.5m patients in South and West London. Dr Newsom-Davis set up and leads the Chelsea & Westminster acute oncology unit, and is part of the National Acute Oncology expert reference group.
Dr Newsom-Davis has presented his work at a number of national and international meetings. He has been an invited lecturer for various organisations including the Royal College of Physicians, International Association for the Study of Lung Cancer, British Medical Association and the Association of Cancer Physicians.
In 2015, his work on Acute Diagnostic Oncology Clinics was awarded the Macmillan Innovation Excellence Award.
Tom Newsom-Davis also sees patients at Leaders in Oncology Care (Harley Street and Chelsea) and the London Clinic.
